RetroBlue (Gavin Bloom) is a Montréal-based DJ and electronic music producer whose work blends saxophone-infused melodies, electronic beats, and emotional storytelling. Emerging onto the scene with his debut single “City Nights” in 2017, RetroBlue achieved over 900,000 streams, marking a strong entrance as an independent artist.
Inspired by Eric Prydz, MK, and Robin Schulz, RetroBlue’s productions traverse multiple electronic genres while remaining deeply personal. He incorporates his own saxophone playing to create a unique sonic signature, expressing his experiences, dreams, and perspectives through music.
Since first discovering dubstep in 2012, RetroBlue has honed his craft in FL Studio, cultivating a sound that is both versatile and recognizable. Despite living with dyslexia, he emphasizes that challenges should never limit creativity, encouraging others to pursue their passions.
Currently based in Montreal, RetroBlue is building his musical brand, performing live DJ sets, and sharing his music with audiences locally and internationally. His style contributes to the vibrant Montréal electronic music scene, combining technical skill, soulful instrumentation, and energetic performances.
