MTL Electro: Montreal's Electronic Music Scene
OSSA Project

OSSA Project

OSSA—meaning “story” or “tale” in Arabic—is a Montréal-based electronic music duo that blends live instrumentation, vintage synthesizers, and Middle Eastern influences into immersive electronic soundscapes. Formed by Lebanese-Canadian multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Nadim Souaid and Syrian-Canadian multi-instrumentalist, producer, and sound designer Firas Nassri, the project bridges cultures through a distinctive blend of electronic and organic music.

Having spent years immersed in Montreal’s electronic music scene while growing up with blues, psychedelic rock, and traditional Middle Eastern music, OSSA brings the energy of live performance into every composition. Their productions combine analog synthesizers, driving rhythms, expressive vocals, and oriental instrumentation to create a sound that is both cinematic and deeply atmospheric.

Inspired by artists such as DARKSIDE and Shkoon, OSSA crafts emotional musical journeys where hypnotic grooves meet rich storytelling and transcultural influences. Their music reflects the diversity of the Montreal electronic music scene, seamlessly connecting melodic electronica, downtempo, organic electronic music, and live performance into a singular artistic vision.
